Nightly Events
  • Each Player Starts with 10,000 in chips.
  • Two Decks of cards used per table (all self dealt).
  • Depending on player turnout, the Top 2, 4 or 5 Finishers will advance to the Monthly “Top Finishers” Event (See below).
  • The person who finishes in 1st will receive the following:
    • Entry into the Monthly "Top Finishers" Event.
    • Entry into "Tournament of Champions" (TOC).
    • 1000 Bonus Chips to be used for "Top Finishers" Event.
    • A Nightly Prize.
    • His/Her picture posted on the VPA site
Notes:
  1. The final number of Nightly Event Players who can advance is based upon total player participation for that particular night. VPA uses a scale system. Under 12 players, then only 2 advance. Under 30 players attend only Top 4 advance. If 30-40 players attend only 5 advance and so on.
  2. Top 2, 4 or 5 finishers must play at least 3 total Nightly Events within the same month in order to lock their entry into the “Monthly Top Finishers” Event.

Monthly "Top Finishers" Event
  • The 1st place winner will gain entry into the “Tournament of Champions”.
  • The Top 4 finishers will receive HOUSE GIFTS.
  • Depending on player turnout, the Top 10 or 16 Finishers will advance to the Quarterly “Top Finishers” Event (See below).
Notes:
  1. The final number of Monthly Event Players who can advance is based upon total player participation for that particular night. VPA uses a scale system. Under 20 players, then only 10 advance. Over 20 players, then 16 advance.
  2. For every 3 times a person plays a nightly event after qualifying for the Quarterly "Top Finishers" Event, they will receive an extra 1000 in chips.

Quarterly "Top Finishers" Event
  • Every 3 months a Quarterly “Top Finishers” Tournament will be held (2 tournaments per 6-month season).
  • The 16 Monthly “Top Finisher” Event finalists over the last 3 months (3 x 16 = 48 Players) will be qualified to play.
  • Each player starts with 12K in chips.
  • Top 4 will gain auto entry into the “Main Event”.
  • Additionally the 1st Place winner gains entry into the “Tournament of Champions”.
  • HOUSE GIFTS for the Top 4 finishers.

Quarterly "Points Race" Event
  • Every 3 months a Quarterly “Points Race” Tournament will be held (2 tournaments per 6-month season).
  • The top 30 Points players over a 3-month period will qualify to play in this event (Points System Below).
  • Each player starts with 12K in chips.
  • Top 4 will gain auto entry into the “Main Event”.
  • Additionally the 1st Place winner gains entry into the “Tournament of Champions”.
  • HOUSE GIFTS for the Top 4 finishers.

"Tournament of Champions" Event
  • Each and every winner of any event except the Main Event gains automatic entry.
  • Each player starts with 15K in chips.
  • 1000 chips will be awarded for any additional wins during the season except for the Main Event. There is no limit to the number of wins a player can have.
  • Top 2 advances to the “Main Event”.
  • If you have already qualified for the “Main Event,” you will remove a seat from the “Main Event” if you place in the top 2.
  • Held once per season before the Main Event(season = 6 months).

The Main Event
  • Held once per season (season = 6 months)
  • Two 9 Person Tables, consisting of 8 Quarterly qualifiers, 8 Points Quarterly qualifiers, and 2 qualifiers from the Tournament of Champions.
  • Each player starts with 20K in chips.
  • 1st Place finisher receives a free seat to a WPT “ACT-3” qualifier along with a nights stay at one of the area Foxwoods hotels.
  • House Gifts for Other Places TBD


MISCELLANEOUS TOURNAMENTS

"Special Event"
  • All League Members are welcomed
  • This can range from 7-Card Stud, Omaha, Dealers Choice, Etc.
  • Winner of this Tournament gets auto entry into “Tournament of Champions” along with HOUSE GIFT.
  • This event will be held 1 time per season.

Heads Up Tournament
  • This tournament is open to all VPA players.
  • One player verses another, using 4500 in chips, short blinds.
  • Once player looses all chips, that player is out.
  • This event to be held once per season (6-months)
  • Winner of the Heads Up Tournament gets auto entry into “Tournament of Champions” along with HOUSE GIFT.

Every player who finishes beyond the 16th spot automatically receives 10 points just for showing up and playing
